Summary


The Business Development Manager is responsible for generating new business opportunities by developing relationships with commercial clients. Primary responsibilities include inside and outside sales activities such as networking, lead generation, social media, and participation in trade associations. Maintain ongoing relationships with trade partners to encourage networking and repeat business.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES


Business Development

  • Nurture and expand existing business relationships to increase lead generation and sales revenue.
  • Locate, present to, and sell ERX restoration and construction services to new and prospective clients.
  • Maintain membership and involvement in targeted associations and achieve significant committee and/or leadership positions
  • Support all ERX Sales efforts by following up on leads and pending estimates.
  • Prepare and present sales proposals and ERX MSA program.
  • Achieve 100 commercial contacts per week with clients and prospects via meetings, events, phone, social media, email, etc.
  • Document and track leads and business development activities in the CRM.

Marketing

  • Work with leadership to plan association involvement levels and budgets.
  • Work with Management to design and implement advertising strategies, including content selection and budgeting.
  • Participate in and represent ERX in tradeshows, golf tournaments, and promotional events.
  • Plan and organize marketing functions, including golf tournaments, charitable events, and other networking and social activities, many of which are after normal business hours

General Responsibilities

  • Become and remain proficient with our services and the associated terminology.
  • Adhere to company employment standards.
  • Always provide the highest level of internal and external customer service.
  • Achieve sales revenue goals.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or related experience required
  • 3+ years outside sales experience required, within the restoration or construction industry preferred.
  • Current contacts within the industry and market ideal.
  • Must be able to attend networking functions 2-4 evenings a week.
  • Intermediate-level Microsoft Office skills.
  • Experience inputting and tracking sales-related data into a CRM system.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have a satisfactory driving record.
  • While this position does not have any direct reports, all team members need to be mentoring and coaching their teammates to drive further collaboration and revenue.
  • An outgoing, driven, tenacious, team-oriented attitude is a must!
