Are you a strategic purchasing professional who thrives on balancing operational excellence, inventory management, and vendor partnerships? We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead purchasing and receiving operations, ensuring the right products are available at the right time while driving cost savings, process improvements, and exceptional service across the property.

In this leadership role, you will oversee procurement activities, inventory controls, vendor relationships, and a small team responsible for purchasing and receiving functions. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for operational efficiency.


Responsibilities

WHAT YOU'LL DO AS A CANYON RANCH COLLEAGUE:

  • Lead all day-to-day purchasing, procurement, receiving, and inventory operations.
  • Manage inventory levels, cycle counts, and month-end inventory reporting to ensure accuracy and minimize waste.
  • Review purchase orders and requisitions for accuracy, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Develop and maintain strong vendor partnerships, negotiate pricing, and evaluate supplier performance.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through strategic sourcing, competitive bidding, and spend analysis.
  • Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply chain disruptions to proactively address business needs.
  • Oversee ordering and distribution of uniforms and other operational supplies.
  • Manage obsolete and slow-moving inventory through approved disposition processes.
  • Participate in capital purchasing and budgeting initiatives.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop purchasing team members, including hiring, training, scheduling, performance management, and employee development.
  • Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies, financial procedures, and inventory controls.
  • Partner with Finance and operational departments to support business objectives and drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL: 

  • 3–5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory management, or a related field, including previous leadership or supervisory experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of purchasing processes, inventory controls, vendor management, and cost-saving strategies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication, organization, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, lead a team, and build effective relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
