As our Purchasing Manager, you'll lead purchasing operations across multiple markets, develop strong trade partner relationships, and drive the purchasing strategy that supports every home we build. You'll partner with leaders across the organization to improve processes, strengthen supplier relationships, and build a high-performing purchasing team ready to support our continued growth.

What You'll Do
  • Lead supplier and subcontractor negotiations across multiple markets.
  • Build and maintain strong trade partner relationships while ensuring competitive pricing and dependable capacity.
  • Oversee competitive bidding, contract administration, and purchasing strategies.
  • Develop and maintain our should-cost model to improve pricing accuracy and purchasing decisions.
  • Identify value engineering opportunities that improve margins without compromising quality.
  • Partner with Estimating, Product Development, Construction Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain to drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Purchasing Agents while establishing purchasing standards and best practices.
  • Monitor KPIs and purchasing performance to support company growth and operational excellence.
What You'll Bring
  • 5+ years of purchasing, estimating, construction, supply chain, or related experience.
  • Experience negotiating supplier and subcontractor agreements.
  • Experience leading, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong financial, analytical, and business acumen.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with ERP or purchasing systems.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Residential homebuilding experience.
  • Multi-market purchasing experience.
  • Experience with cost modeling, estimating, or value engineering.
