We are partnering with a well-established manufacturing organization to identify an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead purchasing, inventory, storeroom operations, and logistics for a large production facility.

What You'll Do
- Lead all plant purchasing activities for maintenance, operations, and production materials
- Manage purchasing, logistics, and storeroom operations to ensure critical parts and supplies are available when needed
- Develop and strengthen relationships with existing suppliers while identifying new sourcing and cost-saving opportunities
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supplier agreements
- Improve inventory accuracy, organization, and overall storeroom efficiency
- Partner closely with Maintenance and Operations to support preventive maintenance initiatives and minimize downtime
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of buyers, logistics personnel, and storeroom employees
- Monitor purchasing metrics, inventory levels, and vendor performance to drive continuous improvement
- Work collaboratively across departments to support plant objectives while maintaining strong internal and external communication

- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent purchasing and supply chain experience
- Progressive purchasing leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Experience managing buyers, inventory, or storeroom operations
- Strong vendor negotiation and supplier relationship management skills
- Experience supporting maintenance and plant operations through effective procurement practices
- ERP system experience required; Oracle, JD Edwards, or similar systems are highly preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Experience working in a union manufacturing environment is a plus
- Comfortable being a visible, hands-on leader who enjoys spending time on the production floor
