As the Director of Strategic Initiatives, you will serve as a trusted strategic partner to executive leadership, ensuring the successful execution of the company's highest priority initiatives across six consulting service lines. This role is responsible for driving organizational accountability, coordinating cross-functional projects and ensuring strategic initiatives move from concept to completion.
Acting as the operational bridge between executives and business leaders, the Director of Strategic Initiatives provides structure, visibility, and accountability across the organization. This individual excels at managing complex initiatives, aligning stakeholders, removing roadblocks, and ensuring leadership priorities are executed effectively while maintaining a high standard of client service.

Responsibilities:
  • Partner with executive leadership to execute the organization's strategic priorities and long-term business objectives.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, milestones, and success metrics for enterprise initiatives.
  • Track progress across multiple initiatives, proactively identifying risks and driving resolution.
  • Ensure strategic priorities remain aligned across all business units and consulting service lines.
  • Serve as the central point of coordination for executive initiatives and organizational priorities.
  • Hold cross-functional teams accountable for commitments, deliverables, and deadlines.
  • Facilitate executive meetings, including preparing agendas, documenting action items, and monitoring follow-through.
  • Develop executive dashboards and KPI reporting to provide visibility into organizational performance.
  • Lead cross-functional projects from planning through implementation.
  • Coordinate resources across consulting, operations, technology, finance, marketing, HR, and business development.
  • Identify dependencies, manage competing priorities, and maintain project momentum.
  • Implement project management best practices that improve execution and organizational efficiency.
  • Build strong relationships across departments to improve communication, ensure stakeholder buy-in, and drive organizational alignment.
  • Facilitate collaboration and decision-making amongst business leaders to drive the execution of enterprise-wide initiatives
  • Advise and assist executives with organizational planning, change management, and operational decision-making.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify opportunities to improve organizational processes, workflows, and resource utilization.
  • Drive operational efficiencies through process optimization and technology adoption.
  • Develop reporting tools that measure initiative success and organizational effectiveness.
  • Support special projects and executive priorities as business needs evolve.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Operations, Project Management, or a related field required.
  • 5-8 years of experience in professional services, consulting, business operations, strategic planning, project management, or Chief of Staff functions.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional enterprise initiatives in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Strong project and program management skills, including the ability to prioritize competing workstreams, manage dependencies, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business priorities.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with experience developing executive-level reporting, dashboards, and performance metrics.
  • Exceptional communication and executive presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders without direct reporting authority.
  • Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Monday.com, Asana, Jira, or similar platforms.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile, Lean Six Sigma, or similar certification preferred.
  • Receptiveness to performance feedback and commitment to working effectively in a team environment.
  • Preferred candidate will reside in or relocate to Houston.
