The Strategic Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing key customer relationships across Forte Components. This role blends relationship management, business development, pricing analysis, market insight, and cross-functional execution. The Strategic Account Manager leads commercial activity for assigned accounts, develops new customer opportunities, and uses customer and market insights to drive profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Account Management & Sales Growth
    • Manage and grow a portfolio of strategic accounts, including assigned customers and newly developed accounts
    • Develop and execute account plans that support revenue growth, margin improvement, customer engagement, and share expansion
    • Build strong relationships with customer decision-makers, buyers, influencers, and operational contacts
    • Lead customer business reviews, product discussions, commercial updates, and strategic planning conversations
  • Business Development
    • Identify, qualify, and pursue new customer opportunities aligned with Forte Components’ growth strategy
    • Develop and onboard new accounts in partnership with internal teams
    • Evaluate customer fit, product alignment, growth potential, and profitability
    • Maintain an active pipeline of opportunities, risks, and follow-up actions
  • Pricing Strategy & Commercial Analysis
    • Develop pricing recommendations using customer, sales, margin, and market data
    • Build and improve pricing tools, models, and processes to support consistent commercial decision-making
    • Translate commercial insights into actions that support growth, margin improvement, and customer strategy
    • Negotiate pricing in line with company strategy, customer expectations, and margin objectives
  • Forecasting & Execution
    • Provide monthly forecast updates and contribute to demand planning
    • Use Excel, Power BI, CRM, ERP, and pricing tools to analyze sales performance, margin, pipeline, and growth opportunities
    • Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Product, Operations, Customer Service, and Supply Chain to support customer opportunities and resolve commercial issues
    • Maintain accurate records in CRM tools, including CE/Microsoft Dynamics
  • Customer Engagement & Market Insight
    • Understand customer business needs, purchasing behavior, operations, and decision-making processes
    • Conduct regular local customer visits to strengthen relationships and support commercial goals
    • Monitor competitor activity, market trends, customer feedback, and industry dynamics
    • Act as the voice of the customer across internal teams while balancing customer needs with business priorities
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of B2B sales, strategic account management, business development, or commercial experience
  • Experience in manufacturing, building materials, industrial products, distribution, or related industries preferred
  • Proven ability to grow customer accounts, develop new business, and manage complex B2B relationships
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, pricing models, sales reports, customer data, and margin analysis
  • Experience with CRM, forecasting, ERP, and reporting tools; Microsoft Dynamics CE and Power BI preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, make sound decisions, and move work forward independently
