Job description

The store planning manager plays a critical role in executing Orgill's core retail development services, encompassing new store designs, expansions, and remodels. This role is a dual-focus position centered on daily store planning operations and comprehensive project communication management. By effectively aligning sales teams, merchandising crews, and independent dealers, this position directly impacts a customer's strategic growth, transaction sizes, and overall satisfaction.
Daily Store Planning & Design Support
  • Prepare demographic reports, print and bind final store planning presentation documents, and distribute planogram details for upcoming project implementations.
  • Learn and utilize Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to create cohesive, logical department layouts and floor plans.
  • Apply knowledge of shopping patterns and product assortments to optimize vendor POP (point of purchase) fixtures, signage, and product placement to
    maximize average transaction sizes.
  • Act as the primary administrative and operational support bridge for the Sales team, Customer & Retail Services.

Project Management & Communication
  • Serve as the central communication hub, managing expectations and timelines seamlessly across customers, sales teams, interdepartmental peers, outside
    vendors, and merchandisers.
  • Prepare & Review merchandise plans and chosen planograms working with the customer & sales to review for accuracy.
  • Utilize finalized planogram lists (FAP's) to build and secure customer approval for Open Stock Orders (OSO), ensuring meticulous item-by-item verification.
  • Directly oversee, evaluate, and direct third-party merchandising crews during implementation, focusing on efficiency, professionalism, and high-quality setup
    results.
  • Document all benchmark dates, key communications, official files, and phone calls within the Salesforce RS Project shared platform.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of Retail Hardware and/or merchandising experience is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Google Workspace, Microsoft Excel, Salesforce & CAD.
  • Must be willing to travel up to or more than 50% in addition to the Orgill Dealer Market
