Job description

PURPOSE

As a Assistant Manager Planning (Planning Analyst) at adidas, you will bring clarity to complexity-turning data into actionable insights that strengthen forecasts, optimize inventory, and guide smarter decisions. Your work will help ensure the right products reach the right consumers at the right time, supporting sustainable growth across the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support sales forecasting across daily weekly and monthly horizons using trends promotions and seasonality to guide accurate projections.
  • Monitor performance against plan prior year and forecast identifying risks and opportunities and delivering clear data-led insights.
  • Analyze inventory health including aged stock sell-through and seasonal performance to inform pricing transfers and rebalancing decisions.
  • Evaluate promotional and event performance measuring sales margin and inventory impact and identifying opportunities for future improvement.
  • Partner with cross functional teams to align forecasts inventory strategies and business priorities while delivering clear reporting and insights that guide decision making.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Strong knowledge of retail math forecasting principles and key performance metrics
  • Advanced Excel skills including data modeling pivot tables and large dataset analysis
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear actionable insights
  • Strong attention to detail with high standards for data accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • University degree in business finance or related field or equivalent experience
  • 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Proficiency with MS Office tools including advanced Excel
  • Experience with merchandising or planning systems preferred
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment with in office collaboration Monday through Thursday
