Job description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Associate Location Planner (Associate Loc Planner) is responsible for developing and executing inventory distribution strategies by zone and location to drive sales, optimize store productivity, and support localization initiatives. This position blends analytics, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure a consistent flow of inventory and balanced assortment across all regions and locations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and manage pre-season and in-season location strategies
• Conduct sales and inventory analysis by location to identify growth opportunities or disparities
• Partner with Financial Planning and Buying teams to align receipt flow with volume group, climate zone and store needs
• Execute seasonal transition strategies to deliver timely flow of seasonally relevant products across all zones and store groupings. Manage weeks of stock to deliver profitable sales
• Travel to stores to assess performance and collaborate with District Managers on growth strategies
• Support new, remodeled, and relocated store planning in partnership with the New Store Planning Team
• Partner with supply chain and logistics teams to manage product flow and ensure timely delivery
• Manage Allocation Analyst(s), fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture. Ensure team development through training, performance management, and succession planning
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Merchandising, or a related field preferred
• 2-4 years of relevant experience in planning, allocation, or retail analytics
• Strong analytical and Excel skills; familiarity with planning systems and reporting tools
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Must have adequate vision, speech, hearing, and physical ability to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodations
• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds
• Must have full body rotation and mobility (i.e., bending, stooping, etc.)
