What to Expect?
Reporting to the Store Manager, the Assistant Store Manager supports day-to-day store operations and helps lead the sales floor to deliver an outstanding customer experience. This role provides shift leadership, assists with coaching and training, and ensures consistent execution of merchandising, cash-handling, and operational standards.
On a daily basis our Assistant Store Manager:
  • Supports the Store Manager in daily store operations, customer service standards, and team performance.
  • Serves as Manager-on-Duty as needed, including opening/closing the store in accordance with company procedures.
  • Assists with cash handling and administrative tasks, including register balancing, deposit preparation, and daily reporting.
  • Provides product expertise and hands-on support to customers; resolves routine concerns and escalates complex issues appropriately.
  • Helps supervise associates during shifts by assigning tasks, monitoring service levels, and reinforcing expectations.
  • Ensures store standards are consistently executed: clean, stocked, priced merchandise and current promotional displays.
  • Supports onboarding and ongoing training in customer service, safety, POS operation, product knowledge, and company policies.
  • Assists the Store Manager with scheduling, timekeeping, and coordination of staffing needs; supports other administrative processes as assigned.
  • Coordinates with the Store Manager regarding pool service/repair communication and scheduling support (if applicable).
  • Other job related duties as assigned.

What You Will Need:
  • Must be 21 years of age or older to be eligible to drive a company vehicle.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • High School Diploma/GED (or equivalent).
  • Retail and customer service experience required; pool supply industry experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, stretch, and stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Availability to work weekends and some holidays.
