Finance and Insurance Managers help us to do this by arranging for vehicle financing and insurance for auto sales customers and helping the customer to complete all needed purchase documents. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Duties/Responsibilities
  • Offer vehicle financing and insurance options to customers and provide them with a transparent explanation of aftermarket products along with a complete explanation of manufacturer and dealership service procedures and policies.
  • Seek new lending institutions and maintaining good working relationships to secure competitive interest rates and financing programs.
  • Process financing and leasing deals accurately and secure approval through financial sources and through the proper federal, state and corporate channels.
  • Sends warranty cancellation requests to the appropriate party, using the correct paperwork according to the cancellation policy.
  • Must offer the complete array of products to every customer, every time. This includes utilizing and maintaining the fully rated menu. In the menu, all qualifying products must be rated, presented, and be included in the deal along with a final acceptance order with an authorization or declination.
  • Manage the contracts in transit according to SOAG standards and policy.
  • Responsible for digital contracting according to SOAG requirements.
  • Understanding and complying with federal, state and local regulations that affect the new and used-vehicle and finance departments.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation for each deal is complete and accurate by utilizing a deal checklist.
  • Assists in training and providing the sales team with information on finance and lease programs and the benefits of the dealership's financing and extended service programs.
  • Adhere to all IRS cash reporting regulations as it relates to Form 8300.
  • Safeguard all company assets and privacy related to customer information.
  • Attends all training and class study, and acknowledges all policies required by SOAG.
  • Will always act ethically and honestly in all deals.
  • Will be expected to maintain performance benchmarks according to SOAG requirements. This includes metrics such as PVR, PPD, and product penetrations.
  • May be required to assist the Sales Manager and General Sales Manager in managing the Sales Department, working the desk, structuring and closing deals, and forecasting.
  • May cover Sales Manager duties as needed.
  • May be required to spend some working hours between neighboring dealerships, covering for other F&I Managers as needed.
  • Is directly responsible for managing designated employees, including but not limited to hiring, policy and procedure execution, time and attendance management, disciplinary proceedings, and the disbursement and enforcement of training and information per SOAG policy, procedures, SOPs, and guidelines.
  • Ensures they are punctual each day, arriving on time and staying until dismissed. They must also communicate with the GM or GSM before leaving the building, as they report to the GM (or GSM in stores without a GM).
  • Demonstrates behaviors consistent with the company's values in all interactions with customers, coworkers, managers, and vendors.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and work ethic.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Must have the ability to sit for long hours while working from a desktop computer, phone system, and various dealership specific software.
  • Must have ample dexterity to bend, reach, stretch, sit, stand, type, and lift up to 20 pounds.

Education and Experience
  • Preferred two years of automotive sales experience and two years dealership F&I experience.
  • Must be able to pass a background check, drug screen, and Motor Vehicle Report.
