The Service Drive Manager runs an efficient and profitable service drive through process training and oversight. The Service Drive Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring we deliver an Effortless Experience to our clientele. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. Duties/Responsibilities
  • Schedule and assign daily work objectives for the service consultants
  • Ensure Clients are greeted at their vehicle
  • Ensure proper advisor write up process is being followed, including greeting, walk around, and service menu review with client
  • Monitor performance and counsel service consultants with behavioral or performance issues
  • Train, coach, supervise and assist service consultants, including on systems, upselling, follow up, and suburb customer service.
  • Assist in the service reception during peak traffic times by greeting customers in a timely and friendly manner to obtain customer and vehicle data
  • Maintain all supplies required to operate the service drive
  • Communicate with team leaders to determine status of jobs
  • Review the open repair order report on a daily basis, review and resolve any open repair orders that are beyond current week's business
  • Partner with all other dealership personnel to ensure proper quality of service is provided to all customers
  • Perform quality inspections of vehicles being returned to customers
  • Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction with service work
  • Understand and comply with federal, state and local regulations such as those governing the disposal of hazardous waste, OSHA right-to-know act, etc.
  • Follow company safety procedures to avoid exposure to fumes, dirt and harsh chemicals
  • Is directly responsible for managing designated employees, including but not limited to hiring, policy and procedure execution, time and attendance management, disciplinary proceedings, and the disbursement and enforcement of training and information per SOAG policy, procedures, SOPs, and guidelines.
  • Maintains safe work environment.
  • Maintains a professional appearance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities
  • Strong Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility to work extended hours, evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Must be able to lift and move work-related items up to 30 pounds.
  • Must be able to push, pull, lift, and bend at the knees and waist, twist body at the waist, raise and hold arms overhead, and turn head-neck-shoulders as needed.

Education and Experience
  • Two to four years related experience and/or training in a Service Advisor role preferred.
  • Must be able to pass a background check, drug screening, and Motor Vehicle Report.
  • Additional certifications as applicable
