Job description

Diagnostic Automotive Technician | $30–$55/HR | No Weekends

Independent Automotive Repair Shop

Location: Dublin, OH | No Weekends
Pay Rate: $30–$55 per flagged hour
Typical Flagged Hours: Approximately 40/week

Spend More Time Diagnosing. Less Time Chasing Parts.

If you're the technician others turn to for difficult electrical, drivability, and mechanical problems, this role lets you focus on what you do best.

You'll have dedicated support from a General Manager, Service Advisor, and Quality Technician while handling advanced diagnostics and complex repairs.

What You’ll Work On

  • Advanced electrical and drivability diagnostics
  • Complex mechanical troubleshooting
  • Engine and transmission removal and replacement
  • Timing chains and head gaskets
  • Domestic, Asian, and European vehicles
  • Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVI)
  • Repair orders with labor times and parts information
  • Mentoring developing technicians

What We’re Looking For

  • 5+ years of professional automotive repair experience
  • Strong diagnostic, electrical, and drivability skills
  • Complex mechanical repair experience
  • Engine and transmission replacement experience
  • Timing chain and head gasket experience
  • Ability to mentor other technicians
  • ASE Certifications preferred
  • Tekmetric and DVI experience preferred; DVI training available
  • Lead or Diagnostic Technician experience preferred
