Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Manager/Program Manager with strong technical expertise and hands-on experience managing engineering projects from concept through commissioning. This role combines project execution, field engineering, commissioning/startup, and oversight of safety and quality. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced with engineering drawings and technical documentation, and comfortable leading work in both office and field environments.
Responsibilities
โ€ข Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and coordination with contractors and internal teams.
โ€ข Review, update, and develop engineering drawings (P&IDs, PFDs, layouts, equipment, electrical, and instrumentation diagrams).
โ€ข Maintain redlines and oversee production of as-built drawings with design/drafting teams.
โ€ข Perform field engineering tasks including equipment walkdowns, dimensional verification, and resolving technical issues.
โ€ข Lead commissioning activities: test plans, functional checks, startup support, troubleshooting, and turnover documentation.
โ€ข Ensure compliance with QA/QC requirements, engineering standards, and safety regulations.
โ€ข Conduct field safety checks, participate in JSAs, and help drive a strong safety culture.
โ€ข Manage technical documentation, vendor information, and submittals.
Qualifications
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related).
โ€ข 5-10 years of engineering experience with project execution and commissioning responsibilities.
โ€ข Strong ability to read, interpret, and modify engineering drawings.
โ€ข Experience in field engineering, construction support, or startup/commissioning.
โ€ข Familiarity with safety standards and quality control practices.
โ€ข CAD or drawing management system experience is a plus.
