What is a global enablement program manager?

A Global Enablement Program Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing training and enablement programs across an organization’s global teams. This role ensures that employees, partners, or customers worldwide have the knowledge, tools, and resources needed to succeed in their roles. They coordinate with various departments, standardize learning content, and measure the effectiveness of enablement initiatives. The goal is to drive consistent performance, improve productivity, and support business objectives at a global scale.

How does a global enablement program manager collaborate with cross-functional teams?

A Global Enablement Program Manager regularly works with cross-functional teams such as sales, marketing, product, and regional leaders to align program objectives and execution strategies. This collaboration often involves coordinating training sessions, gathering feedback from different departments, and adjusting enablement resources to address local and global needs. Strong communication and project management skills are essential for managing time zones, cultural differences, and varying business priorities. By fostering close partnerships across the organization, the Program Manager ensures that enablement initiatives are relevant, scalable, and impactful worldwide.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a global enablement program manager?

To excel as a Global Enablement Program Manager, you need expertise in program management, instructional design, and cross-functional collaboration, typically supported by a bachelor’s degree and experience in enablement or training roles. Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS), project management tools, and data analytics platforms is often required. Outstanding communication, cultural awareness, and strategic thinking are crucial soft skills for aligning stakeholders and driving global initiatives. These capabilities ensure effective delivery of enablement programs across diverse regions, promoting organizational consistency and growth.

What is the difference between Global Enablement Program Manager vs Customer Success Manager?

AspectGlobal Enablement Program Manager

The Global Enablement Program Manager focuses on developing and executing training programs, onboarding, and resources to enable sales, technical, or partner teams worldwide. They coordinate cross-functional initiatives to ensure teams are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills. In contrast, a Customer Success Manager primarily manages customer relationships post-sale, ensuring customer satisfaction, retention, and growth. While both roles require strong communication and project management skills, the Program Manager emphasizes internal enablement, whereas the Customer Success Manager centers on external client success.

Job description

About Glean:

Glean is the Work AI platform that helps everyone work smarter with AI. What began as the industry's most advanced enterprise search has evolved into a full-scale Work AI ecosystem, powering intelligent Search, an AI Assistant, and scalable AI agents on one secure, open platform. With over 100 enterprise SaaS connectors, flexible LLM choice, and robust APIs, Glean gives organizations the infrastructure to govern, scale, and customize AI across their entire business - without vendor lock-in or costly implementation cycles.

At its core, Glean is redefining how enterprises find, use, and act on knowledge. Its Enterprise Graph and Personal Knowledge Graph map the relationships between people, content, and activity, delivering deeply personalized, context-aware responses for every employee. This foundation powers Glean's agentic capabilities - AI agents that automate real work across teams by accessing the industry's broadest range of data: enterprise and world, structured and unstructured, historical and real-time. The result: measurable business impact through faster onboarding, hours of productivity gained each week, and smarter, safer decisions at every level.

Recognized by Fast Company as one of the World's Most Innovative Companies (Top 10, 2025), by CNBC's Disruptor 50, Bloomberg's AI Startups to Watch (2026), Forbes AI 50, and Gartner's Tech Innovators in Agentic AI, Glean continues to accelerate its global impact. With customers across 50+ industries and 1,000+ employees in more than 25 countries, we're helping the world's largest organizations make every employee AI-fluent, and turning the superintelligent enterprise from concept into reality.

If you're excited to shape how the world works, you'll help build systems used daily across Microsoft Teams, Zoom, ServiceNow, Zendesk, GitHub, and many more - deeply embedded where people get things done. You'll ship agentic capabilities on an open, extensible stack, with the craft and care required for enterprise trust, as we bring Work AI to every employee, in every company.

About the Role:

Glean is seeking a Product Enablement Manager to sit at the intersection of Product, Product Marketing, and GTM Enablement. In this role, you will be the connective tissue between a fast‑moving Work AI platform and our customer‑facing teams, turning launches, roadmap bets, and complex product capabilities into clear, usable narratives, workflows, and trainings that drive adoption and revenue impact across the go‑to‑market organization.

You will also be a key builder and collaborator on our AI‑first enablement vision: using Glean and agents to turn fragmented launch signals into role‑aware guidance, in‑flow practice, and visible readiness signals. Instead of relying on point‑in‑time trainings alone, you'll design and build an always‑on, AI‑assisted enablement system that keeps GTM teams current on what changed, why it matters, and how to use it in real deals. For this role, you must be excited to use AI to build new workflows and processes from a first principles, AI‑first approach.

You will:

  • Own the GTM‑facing layer of product enablement, translating release notes, specs, and technical documentation into "what this means for the field" guidance: when to use new capabilities, which personas and use cases to target, and what proof points and stories to lean on.
  • Build and maintain a scalable product enablement program for GTM teams (Initially the focus will be Sales, but can expand and overlap to SEs/SAs, Customer Outcomes, Support, Partnerships), covering launches, core product foundations, advanced AI capabilities, and platform‑level narratives.
  • Design and deliver high‑impact enablement sessions on new features, packages, and workflows, with a focus on active practice, demos, and application to real customer scenarios, not just slides.
  • Partner closely with Product, Product Marketing, Competitive, Sales, Technical Enablement, and Customer Outcomes to ensure GTM teams are launch‑ready for Tier 1 and Tier 2 releases, with clear talk tracks, demo flows, objection handling, and enablement bundles.
  • Work with Field and Technical Enablement peers to embed product learning into broader programs such as onboarding, certifications, deal coaching, and manager enablement, so product knowledge shows up in how we sell and support, not just in standalone trainings.
  • Design and operate an AI‑first "launch‑to‑enable" loop: help define how product changes (release notes, docs, support patterns) become structured launch briefs, role‑based guidance, and in‑flow practice using Glean and agents as the backbone.
  • Partner with Technical Enablement and AI product teams to build and maintain AI‑powered enablement surfaces (e.g., role‑aware "what's new" views, browser‑overlay guidance, agent‑driven labs) that deliver just‑in‑time coaching in the tools where GTM already works.
  • Act as a champion and co‑designer of our AI‑first enablement system by collaborating on 30‑/60‑/90‑da
