Description:

Greater St. Louis, Inc. is seeking a dynamic, strategic communications leader passionate about shaping the narrative of economic growth and opportunity across the bi-state St. Louis region.

Are you a skilled communicator who thrives in both the fast-paced world of media relations and the long-game of reputation building? Do you have experience managing press relationships, crafting executive voices, and driving engagement across digital platforms? You may be our next Director of Communications.

In this role, you will:

  • Serve as a primary spokesperson for the organization, managing local media relations, responding to press inquiries, drafting press releases, coordinating press events, and leading crisis communications efforts.
  • Direct and manage the work of our national PR firm, aligning their strategy and activity with organizational priorities to advance Greater St. Louis, Inc.'s reputation on a national stage.
  • Lead the organization's social media presence across platforms, collaborating across teams on content priorities, driving audience engagement, managing and monitoring channels, and curating local news and events for posting and amplification.
  • Elevate the voices of organizational leaders through op-eds, speeches, executive communications, and social media platforms.
