Pay Rates

??Starting $45/hour โ€“ Licensed Special Education Teachers

??Starting  $40/hour โ€“ Unlicensed Special Education Teachers

Position Overview

Under the direction of the Special Education Program Administrator, the Special Education Teacher provides instructional support and specialized educational services to students with diverse learning needs. This position plays a key role in helping students achieve academic, social, and personal success through individualized instruction and collaboration with educational teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver specialized instruction aligned with student needs and IEP goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, therapists, and families
  • Support student achievement through individualized learning strategies
  • Participate in planning, implementation, and evaluation of student programs
  • Provide classroom consultation and academic support
  • Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable educational requirements and regulations

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:  

  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree from an accredited university preferred 
  • Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations 
  • Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred 
  • State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching preferred
  • State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Secondary Teaching preferred
  • State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teaching preferred
  • Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred
  • Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice 
  • Current CPR if applicable 
  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable 
  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) 
  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements 
  • Must be at least 18 years of age

  • Hours: 37 hours per week
  • Contract Length: 39 weeks
  • Start Date: August 24, 2026
  • Interview Required: Yes
