Position Summary...What you'll do...Walmart Marketplace is seeking a Senior Manager, Tech Ops – Seller Fulfilled Solutions (SFS) to lead high-impact, cross-functional initiatives that improve delivery speed, promise accuracy, and customer experience for seller-fulfilled items. In this role, you will be responsible for driving programs that increase the share of fast delivery experiences, enhance delivery reliability, and unlock conversion growth across the pre-purchase funnel. You will lead end-to-end program execution, from strategy and roadmap shaping to go-to-market and post-launch scaling, while partnering across Product, Engineering, Data Science, Seller Performance and Business teams. This role requires strong program management, analytical thinking, and the ability to influence across a highly matrixed organization. Team:
Walmart Marketplace is a fast-growing, strategic priority for Walmart, enabling third-party sellers to reach millions of customers on Walmart.com. Within Marketplace, the Seller Fulfilled Services (SFS) team operates a business where sellers manage their own inventory and fulfillment while Walmart owns the end-to-end customer experience. The team focuses on improving delivery speed and reliability by driving adoption of platform capabilities such as Simplified Shipping Settings (SSS), enabling faster fulfillment options, and optimizing delivery promise systems. As a Senior Manager, Tech Ops you will: • Lead and execute end-to-end speed-focused programs, including initiatives such as Simplified Shipping Settings (SSS), expedited shipping, and same-day delivery
• Define and drive program strategy, roadmap, and execution, including go-to-market planning and post-launch optimization
• Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Seller Ops, and Business teams to deliver measurable improvements in delivery speed and customer experience
• Drive initiatives to increase the penetration of fast delivery promises and improve promise accuracy
• Collaborate with Promise Optimization teams to enhance delivery promise generation using data-driven and ML-based models • Influence seller behavior and adoption through scalable solutions that simplify shipping configuration and improve fulfillment performance
• Establish success metrics, monitor performance, and use data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
• Operate as a horizontal program leader, aligning stakeholders and driving execution across multiple teams and priorities What you'll bring:
• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience or Master’s degree with 5+ years experience in program management, ecommerce, operations, or technology
• Demonstrated experience leading large-scale, cross-functional programs with measurable business impact
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making
• Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
• Experience working closely with Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Data Science teams
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across all levels of the organization
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in ecommerce or two-sided marketplaces.
• Background in shipping, logistics, fulfillment, or delivery promise systems
• Familiarity with platform-driven shipping solutions such as Simplified Shipping Settings (SSS)
• Experience driving speed, fulfillment, or customer experience optimization initiatives
• MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
