Duties * Provides Logistics planning and programming services to the 37TRW, 59MW and other tenant organizations. * Evaluates all matters pertaining to the Logistics Plans function for all host and tenant units of the 37 TRW. * Assists the Installation Deployment Officer in directing, controlling, and coordinating installation deployments (including tenant and transiting forces) as directed by the Wing Commander. * Serves as the assistant OPR for the Integrated Deployment System (IDS). * Assists in the management of WRM assets assigned to Lackland to support the largest deployment commitment in AETC. Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions, Logistics Management Series, 0346. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes thorough knowledge of Logistics Plans, principals, concepts, methodology, operations and management to accomplish Logistics Plans mission. Knowledge of DOD, JCS, AF and AETC Logistics plans, procedures and policies. Knowledge of Logistics planning techniques in functional areas of supply, transportation and contracting. Knowledge of the major issues, program goals, and objectives, work processes and administrative operations of the organization. OR EDUCATION: master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree Or LL.B. or J.D., if related. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position.NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing to gain cooperation from others through tact, courtesy and diplomacy. * Ability to access or locate information through the use of a personnel computer and software programs. Ability to determine needs for development of training courses and conduct classroom training as required.
