Career Area: SalesJob Title: Senior Strategy Consultant

As the Senior Strategy Consultant in Caterpillar’s Americas Distribution Services Division, you will lead the development and execution of the mid‑to‑long‑term business development strategy with business partners.

Location & Travel
  • Dallas, TX (primary location)
  • Peoria, IL (alternative location)
  • Required travel: up to 25% domestic & international

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead cross‑functional collaboration with business partners and external consultants to identify industry trends and gather voice of the customer and business.
  • Plan and direct critical projects for the department and enterprise.
  • Co‑mentor clients using a disciplined project management approach and coach them on their roles and responsibilities.
  • Facilitate projects, lead chartering sessions, integration and compression sessions.
  • Design, establish, and monitor the organization’s project management goals.
Required Skills
  • Effective communication – transmit, receive, and interpret ideas using appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Relationship management – build and maintain healthy relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
  • Strategic thinking – apply big picture thinking and competitive insight to focus on key success factors.
  • Decision making & critical thinking – analyze situations and reach productive decisions using informed judgment.
  • Customer focus – align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all decisions and craft customized customer solutions.

Pay Range

$147,760.00 – $221,640.00 (annual salary; benefits may vary).
