Job Title: Senior Delivery Engineer

Location: Berkeley Heights – NJ

Job Overview: A successful Senior Delivery Engineer serves as a critical bridge between product, engineering, and client-facing teams to ensure seamless delivery and integration of Fiserv’s Embedded Finance platform capabilities. This role blends deep technical expertise with execution leadership, enabling scalable integrations, stable environments, and predictable delivery outcomes across complex partner ecosystems. The Senior Delivery Engineer is accountable for technical delivery readiness, integration quality, and ecosystem stability, ensuring that platform capabilities are implemented, adopted, and operated with confidence by both internal teams and external partners.

What you will do:

The Senior Delivery Engineer is responsible for end-to-end technical delivery enablement across platform integrations, with core responsibilities including:

Technical Delivery & Integration Enablement

  • Lead and support technical integrations across the Embedded Finance ecosystem, ensuring reliable and scalable delivery.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on platform architecture, APIs, and integration patterns.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Program teams to translate requirements into executable technical solutions.
  • Support implementation, configuration, and customization of platform capabilities across environments.

Environment Management & Release Support

  • Own the creation, upgrade, and maintenance of development, UAT, CERT, and PERF environments.
  • Support build and release cycles, proactively communicating impacts and minimizing delivery risk.
  • Perform scheduled software upgrades and support configuration changes across integrated systems.
  • Troubleshoot CI/CD pipeline issues and support source control best practices.

Integration Quality, Stability & Issue Resolution

  • Lead root cause analysis and resolution of partner integration issues.
  • Participate in technical design reviews and application requirement analysis.
  • Support testing execution (functional, integration, and regression) and documentation.
  • Ensure system stability during live and post-live implementations, including remote client support when required.

API Strategy, Documentation & Enablement

  • Define and promote best-practice API integration patterns that unlock new capabilities and monetization opportunities.
  • Document integration requirements and map them to technical API specifications.
  • Create clear technical documentation, procedures, and tutorials to support adoption.
  • Train internal teams and external partners on platform features, integrations, and delivery practices.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Leadership

  • Act as a trusted technical partner across Product, Engineering, Program Management, and Client teams.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Build strong internal and external relationships to support a collaborative ecosystem.
  • Contribute to a culture of learning, accountability, and continuous improvement.

  • Platform integrations are delivered with high reliability and minimal rework.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Banking Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 8–13 years of relevant experience in software delivery, integration engineering, or technical product implementation.
  • Deep experience with APIs, system integrations, and software development life cycle (SDLC).
  • Experience supporting build/release cycles, CI/CD pipelines, and source control practices.
  • Strong background in financial services, banking platforms, or complex enterprise ecosystems preferred.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and cross-functional delivery models.

Technical Skills:

  • API integration and troubleshooting (REST, JSON).
  • Experience with Postman, GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, and source control management.
  • Ability to read and understand GoLang code.
  • Experience with software configuration, environment management, and release processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
