SUMMARY

This hands-on technical production role supports the configuration, assembly, testing, and minor repair of computer-based equipment and related systems. The position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, comfortable working with hardware and software, and able to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions while keeping pace with daily production goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build, configure, modify, and test computer hardware, servers, peripherals, and related system components according to production requirements.
  • Install internal and external hardware based on product specifications, customization needs, and order details.
  • Load predefined software packages using imaging tools and installers, then perform operating system updates and functionality checks.
  • Review purchase orders, system hardware, and production documentation to confirm accuracy, completeness, and quality.
  • Troubleshoot practical hardware, software, and assembly issues using critical thinking and available instructions or diagrams.
  • Document progress, status updates, and completed work through ticketing systems and required production records.
  • Work closely with warehouse personnel, team members, and management to meet daily quotas, production deadlines, and quality expectations.
  • Maintain efficient, safe, and ergonomic assembly practices in a fast-paced production setting.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate degree from an accredited college or university with at least 2 years of technical experience in software, hardware, or a related field; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and common business software, including Windows desktop/server environments and Office applications.
  • Experience with imaging software such as Ghost, Macrium, Paragon, or similar tools is preferred.
  • Familiarity with PC and server component installation, hardware configuration, and basic system testing.
  • Ability to analyze information, identify problems, and resolve issues in a timely and practical manner.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills to support production quality and output goals.
  • Adaptable team player who can manage shifting priorities, delays, frequent changes, and competing deadlines.
  • Professional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams.
  • Comfortable sitting, standing, walking, reaching, using small tools, working with computers/servers, and lifting up to 75 lbs. as needed; heavier lifting may require team assistance.

BENEFITS

  • Opportunity to use both hardware and software skills in a stable production environment.
  • Hands-on technical work with computer systems, servers, imaging tools, and system testing rather than a strictly desk-based role.
  • Collaborative team setting with regular interaction across production, warehouse, and management groups.
