Job description

Position Summary:

TCL North America is seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Senior or Mid-Level Designer with a strong foundation in industrial design, 3D visualization, and spatial design. This role is responsible for transforming concepts into compelling visual experiences through a combination of design thinking, technical execution, and visual storytelling. As a key contributor to the creative team, this individual will lead and support projects from initial concept development through final production, creating high-quality renderings, product visualizations, and placement imagery that elevate brand and product experiences. The ideal candidate combines strong design sensibilities with technical expertise, excellent project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams. This role requires a high level of creative ownership, strong attention to detail, and the ability to balance multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional design quality and consistency.

Duties may include but are not limited to:

Concept Development & Creative Execution

Lead and support design projects from concept ideation through final execution across a variety of product, spatial, and visual communication initiatives.

Translate strategic objectives and creative briefs into compelling design solutions that align with project goals and brand standards.

Develop innovative concepts, visual narratives, and presentation materials to communicate design intent effectively.

Contribute to creative direction and ensure visual consistency across all project deliverables.

3D Visualization & Rendering

Create high-quality 3D models, product renderings, and placement imagery for presentations, marketing materials, and client-facing communications.

Develop realistic visualizations that effectively communicate product features, materials, finishes, and spatial integration.

Produce visualization assets that support concept validation, stakeholder reviews, and production execution.

Maintain a strong understanding of emerging visualization tools, workflows, and industry best practices.

Spatial & Interior Design Integration

Apply strong knowledge of interior design principles, spatial planning, and environmental composition to project development.

Create visual solutions that consider user experience, spatial relationships, scale, and aesthetic harmony.

Support the integration of products and design elements within interior and experiential environments.

Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure designs meet both functional and visual objectives.

Project Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Manage project timelines, priorities, and deliverables across multiple concurrent assignments.

Collaborate closely with creative, production, marketing, and external partners to deliver high-quality design solutions.

Participate in project reviews, design critiques, and client presentations as needed.

Ensure projects are completed on schedule while maintaining design excellence and production accuracy.

Design Leadership & Quality Assurance

Provide creative input and design expertise throughout all phases of project development.

Support art direction efforts and contribute to maintaining a high standard of visual quality across projects.

Review design deliverables for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to project objectives.

Help refine creative processes and workflows to improve efficiency and design outcomes.

Qualifications / Requirements:

Must Haves

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Environmental Design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

3+ years of professional experience for Mid-Level candidates; 5+ years for Senior-level candidates.

Strong portfolio demonstrating industrial design, 3D visualization, rendering, and spatial design capabilities.

Expertise in developing high-quality imagery, product renderings, and placement visualizations.

Strong understanding of design principles, composition, materials, color, and form.

Experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced creative environment.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

Required Software Proficiency

Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.

3D CAD and modeling software such as Fusion 360, SolidWorks, or equivalent platforms.

Rendering and visualization tools with the ability to create photorealistic imagery and presentation-ready assets.

Nice to Haves

Experience with video editing and post-production workflows.

Motion graphics and animation capabilities.

Experience creating dynamic visual content for presentations, marketing campaigns, or digital platforms.

Familiarity with additional 3D visualization, rendering, or real-time presentation tools.

Experience working within interior design, experiential design, retail environments, or architectural visualization projects.
