Brand Experience / Environmental / Retail / Activation Design
Overview
We're looking for a multi-disciplinary Designer who thrives at the intersection of spatial design, brand storytelling, and physical experience. This role requires a creative who can think in 3D, translate ideas into real-world environments, and contribute across environmental, industrial, and graphic design projects.
You'll help shape branded experiences ranging from retail environments and pop-ups to live activations, events, fixtures, and immersive installations. One day may involve developing spatial concepts for a national brand launch, while the next could focus on designing custom retail display elements, translating brand systems into physical environments, or building presentation-ready 3D models and renderings.
This is a hands-on creative role for someone who understands how brands come to life, in space.
Responsibilities
  • Develop creative concepts for branded environments, activations, pop-ups, retail displays, and experiential campaigns
  • Create environmental graphics, spatial layouts, fixture concepts, and physical brand moments
  • Produce 3D models, mockups, renderings, and presentation materials for internal reviews and client presentations
  • Collaborate closely with Creative Directors, Strategists, Producers, and Fabrication partners
  • Translate brand guidelines into physical experiences and environmental systems
  • Support projects from early ideation through production and installation
  • Prepare files and documentation for fabrication, print production, and vendor handoff
  • Participate in brainstorms, design reviews, and creative presentations
  • Balance multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced agency environment
  • Occasional travel
  • Stay current on industry trends
  • Understand and leverage cultural moments

Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of experience in experiential, environmental, retail, industrial, or spatial design (agency or in-house)
  • Strong online portfolio demonstrating an understanding of designing for physical space and customer interaction (see additional info below)
  • Fluency in 3D modeling software such as SketchUp (Rhino, Cinema 4D, Blender, or similar tools are a plus)
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign
  • Ability to communicate ideas through sketches, renderings, layouts, and presentations
  • Understanding of materials, fabrication methods, environmental graphics, and production processes
  • Strong typography, composition, and visual storytelling skills
  • Comfortable working across multiple design disciplines and shifting between 2D and 3D thinking
  • Highly collaborative with strong communication and organizational skills
  • Passion for culture, storytelling, retail, sports, entertainment, and immersive brand experiences
  • A self-starter who can own projects while collaborating across disciplines

Bonus Skills
  • Rendering experience using V-Ray, Enscape, KeyShot, or similar tools
  • Motion design or animation knowledge
  • Familiarity with fabrication workflows and production constraints
  • Ability to art direct photography, styling, or installation details on-site
  • Any knowledge of Figma

Portfolio Requirements
Applicants should submit a portfolio showcasing:

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000 USD annually. Ultimately, in determining pay, we will consider the successful candidate's location, experience, and other job-related factors.
