Your Role
As part of our Southeast Regional Design Technology Studio, you are focused on researching, promoting, elevating and strategically implementing our digital ecosystem for the region. A critical multifaceted role that provides technical leadership, strategic value and deep tactical expertise in the design technology and digital project delivery space, enabling the team(s) you support and aligning with the Region's projects and client's priorities / requirements. This role will advance the region's computational thinking and application throughout all phases of the projects.
Reporting directly to the Regional Design Technology Director, you will use your soft skills, relationship building and technical expertise to drive with confidence process, innovation, optimization and digital platforms implementation in partnership / collaboration with your peers in the Regional Design Technology studio. In partnership with the SE Regional Design Technology leadership you will determine the strategy and roadmap for advancement of our regional digital design practices. We are seeking an experienced design professional with a deep knowledge of the entire design and construction process, as well as a curiosity for innovation to join our regional team. Ultimately, we believe that this role is a key contributor to delivering the highest value and best outcomes to our clients.
What You Will Do
  • Strategic development and implementation of our Design Technology initiatives and goals
  • Facilitation and support of R&D and Innovation efforts
  • Elevate computational/generative design skills and solutions
  • Integrate computational thinking as part of the design storytelling for our design teams
  • Establish digital fluency and cross platforms integration and interoperability from concept to delivery
  • Help create and progress a brand and ecosystem for Southeast Design Technology in the region
  • Provide insight, guidance, and leadership through the development of people
  • Project Technology Execution Plan development, implementation and support of technical solutions
  • Increase operational excellence through efficient and proven methodologies
  • Transform smart-digital data-driven ideas into reality implemented on projects
  • Champion digital transformation and cultural change throughout the region
  • Collaborate with Regional Design Technology leaders on requirements and priorities
  • Participate in establishing and driving the Design Technology roadmap for the region
  • Lead cultural, process-driven and technical training in Design Technology
  • Develop and implement a robust and agile AI workflow for visualization
  • Drive visualization innovation throughout the region as a competitive advantage
  • Development, implementation and support of visualization tools and framework
  • Work closely with design teams to interpret their designs intent into compelling, high-quality, computer-generated images and experiences
  • Research emerging technologies and define use-cases for implementation on projects
  • Represent our firm through speaking engagements, hackathons and industry events
  • Lead software development for plug-ins and utilities with software development team
  • Partner with Design Synergies and design-practitioners throughout the firm

Your Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, computer science or equivalent with 10-15 years of experience in AEC/O space
  • Strong command of the Design Delivery process to fabrication / construction
  • Documented progressive growth and experience in leading / supporting Design Technology and innovative framework / workflows in project delivery
  • Articulate communicator with strong storytelling ability to push new innovative concepts and ideas in a highly creative culture
  • Entrepreneurial spirit that embraces change and constantly seeks new engagement opportunities
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to listen and drive consensus through relationship building and ability to win the trust of teammates and project teams
  • Expert in design authoring technology platforms in areas of implementation, practice and development for Autodesk Revit, Rhino, Sketch-up and Navisworks
  • Expert in implementing and supporting design collaboration platforms such as design authoring tools in a virtual environment, collaboration, and AEC cloud-based products
  • Familiarity with Performance Design applications and analysis tools
  • Demonstrated ability to develop learning material, deliver effective training and provide ongoing education and technological support to project teams
  • Highly desired understanding of and experience in computational/generative design platforms and visual programming such as Rhino, Grasshopper, Dynamo, etc.
  • Highly desired interoperability integration with a visualization pipeline and VR/AR hardware and software
  • Working and applied knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and through strategic planning, execution and delivery
  • Reliable, responsive and positive work ethic with the highest degree of integrity
  • Ability to exercise judgment and discretion and to set priorities and manage competing demands
