Our leading technology client is a global innovator, shaping the future of how people interact with the digital and physical world. Renowned for groundbreaking products and experiences that touch millions of lives daily, they are at the forefront of technological advancement. As a dedicated partner, Aquent is committed to connecting top talent with unparalleled opportunities to make a significant impact within this forward-thinking organization, driving innovation and crafting unforgettable experiences.
Are you an exceptionally creative professional with a deep background in spatial design, ready to transform physical spaces into captivating narratives? This is your chance to leverage your unique 3D spatial perspective to translate storefronts into multi-dimensional, architectural storytelling environments. You will play a pivotal role in creating high-profile Holiday and Seasonal installations that captivate audiences, turning passing pedestrians into enchanted spectators through masterful use of light, structural depth, scale, and material layering. Your vision will directly influence how millions experience the brand, leaving a lasting impression with every installation.
What You'll Do
  • Develop compelling seasonal storyboards, visual concepts, and 3D mockups for upcoming visual campaigns and flagship storefront windows, setting the stage for unforgettable brand experiences.
  • Apply advanced 3D spatial design principles, including scale, proportion, lighting, sightlines, and depth, to maximize the high-impact real estate of storefront window frames.
  • Select, source, and rigorously test innovative materials, prop elements, kinetic features, lighting setups, and spatial fixtures, ensuring creative vision aligns with budget and structural safety standards.
  • Collaborate closely with external fabricators, prop makers, print vendors, and local store build teams, overseeing construction to ensure designs translate seamlessly from CAD renderings to stunning physical reality.
  • Lead hands-on, on-site setup and installation of complex window environments, often requiring tight turnarounds, precise spatial assembly, and efficient execution during evening or off-hour installations.
  • Plan, execute, and decommission rapid seasonal turnarounds, such as Holiday, Spring Flagship, and Brand Takeovers, ensuring seamless transitions without disrupting retail operations.

What You'll Bring
Must-Have Qualifications
  • A compelling portfolio showcasing proven experience in window design, visual merchandising, trade show installations, scenic design, or spatial experience design.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling and rendering software, such as SketchUp, Rhino, Blender, or Vectorworks, alongside expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Strong working knowledge of physical scale, sightlines, color theory, retail lighting techniques, and dynamic prop placement.
  • A solid understanding of spatial fabrication techniques, structural integrity, hanging weight limits, lighting rigs, and sustainable/reusable material choices.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage production timelines, cultivate strong vendor relationships, and navigate budgetary constraints while consistently delivering pristine artistic output under firm retail deadlines.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications
  • Proven experience in creating impactful Holiday display work.
  • Demonstrated hands-on craftsmanship, acting as both a big-picture visual strategist and a detail-oriented maker who can adjust lighting or tweak prop placement on location.
  • A deep understanding of current spatial design trends, contemporary visual art, visual storytelling, and cutting-edge retail experiential technology.
