Job description
Roles & Responsibilities
Business Development & Lead Generation
Prospect and qualify new business leads across event floral installations and recurring account verticals through cold outreach, referral cultivation, and inbound inquiry management
Research and identify target clients including restaurants, hotels, hospitality groups, event venues, wedding planners, corporate event teams, and other prospective accounts
Maintain and grow a pipeline of active prospects using CRM tools
Represent the brand at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities as appropriate
Proposals, Quoting & Closing
Coordinate with the principal and design team to develop accurate, compelling proposals and quotes tailored to each client's scope and budget
Present proposals to prospective clients and lead negotiations through to signed agreement
Secure contracts and collect deposits in accordance with engagement terms
Maintain accurate records of proposals, contracts, and deal status
Client Relations & Account Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients from initial engagement through project close
Build and maintain strong client relationships to drive retention, referrals, and account growth
Coordinate with internal team members to ensure client expectations are met throughout the engagement lifecycle
Conduct post-project follow-up to solicit feedback and identify future opportunities
Coordination & Operations
Liaise with event planners, wedding planners, venue coordinators, and other third-party intermediaries involved in sourcing or executing engagements
Track and communicate key project milestones, deadlines, and payment schedules
Support the scheduling and logistics of client-facing meetings and site visits
Maintain organized records of active accounts, prospect lists, and engagement history
Compensation & Work Arrangement
Pay: $35.00/hour, non-exempt (hourly, overtime-eligible)
Schedule: Full-time
Location: Office-based in Chelsea, Manhattan (just south of the Flower District); remote flexibility on select days subject to manager approval
Travel: Some travel within the New York City metro area required for client meetings and site visits
