Job description

JOIN OUR TEAM: We are seeking an experienced Spanish-Speaking Medical Assistant to join our growing clinical team. This role is ideal for someone who values patient-centered care, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys being an essential support partner to providers.
YOU will play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations, delivering exceptional patient experiences, and supporting advanced wellness initiatives.
Locations: Austin Texas.
Schedule: Monday – Friday.
Hours: Between 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM (60-minute lunch).
Clinic Locations:
  • Primary: 1106 Clayton Lane, Austin TX 78723.
  • Occasional: 1500 W 38th Street, Austin TX 78731.
  • Occasional: 2701 S Hwy 183, Leander TX 78641.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Clinical Support:
  • Prepare charts in advance to ensure providers and patients are fully supported.
  • Room patients and accurately document in EMR.
  • Record vital signs and medical histories.
  • Assist providers during medical procedures.
  • Obtain consent for procedures and immunizations.
  • Administer injectable medications and vaccinations.
  • Perform and/or collect ancillary testing (PGX, UTI/STI panels, Urine Wellness, etc).
  • Swab patients curbside as needed.
  • Clean and stock exam rooms.
Administrative & Patient Communication:
  • Respond to patient portal messages within 48–72 hours (or sooner if urgent).
  • Process incoming/outgoing faxes.
  • Send e-prescriptions for non-controlled substances on behalf of providers.
  • Assist with referral coordination.
  • Send medical records and patient notes as requested.
  • Answer incoming phone calls.
  • Monitor internal communication platforms (Teams or GoTo Chat).
  • Ensure patients are informed about and scheduled for our Advanced Wellness Program.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Support clinic operations as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
  • Fluent Spanish-Speaking.
  • 2+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
  • Experience taking vital signs and rooming patients.
  • Strong medical documentation skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • E-Clinical Works (Preferred).
Preferred:
  • Experience with EMR e-ClinicalWorks.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Work performed in an office/clinical setting.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk.
