Local law firm focusing primarily on immigration law with offices in Tracy and Pleasanton has twoย openings for a full-time Spanish Speaking Assistant and Spanish Speaking Receptionist to join our firm in Tracy, CA/Pleasanton, CA. Both positions involveย exercising strong technical competence and organizational skills. Bothย positions may require one day a week in the Pleasanton office. You are welcome to apply for both positions.ย 

JOB DESCRIPTION

As the Receptionist, you will keep the attorney's calendar by scheduling court appearances, scheduling consultations, and other meetings. You will greet clients and answer all incoming phone calls.ย You will organize and track all incoming and outgoing mail.ย You will draft client letters.ย 

As the Assistant, you will translate appointments with clients and documents for the attorney, and keep the attorney's calendar by organizing court appearances, scheduling consultations, and other meetings. You will keep the clients informed of the progress of their cases. You will organize and track all incoming documents and deadlines related to immigration cases. You will draft letters and immigration forms for the attorney. You will also be responsible for communicating with a potential client.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have a high school diploma
1-year experience preferred but not required
Proficient with Computers, Microsoft Office, Email
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
This position requires the candidate to be bilingual in English and Spanish


SKILLS:

โ€ข Ability to translate documents and communications in English/Spanish and Spanish/English
โ€ข Knowledge of Word/Excel/Outlook
โ€ข Knowledge of Google Drive and Google Calendar
โ€ข Must have excellent personal skills, including experience meeting and communicating, in person, as well as orally and in writing, with clients and vendors
โ€ข Accuracy of work product. Ability to complete tasks assigned in a timely fashion. Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure at times. Organize documents and coordinate document productions.
โ€ข Ability to assist the attorney with the filing of motions and preparation of any supporting documents and exhibits) (Assistant Position only)ย 
โ€ข Review, organize, and summarize records
โ€ข Ability to manage documents for clients.
โ€ข Ability to stay on top of projects without daily oversight of tasks.
