Description

We are looking for a dedicated certified nurse assistant to join our team. In this position you will provide direct patient care for our hospital and extended care unit patients at Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center. You will use a team approach to provide high quality patient care. This is a fulltime day position.


Pay Range: $17.97-$22.91 per hour based on experience and qualifications (eligible for shift differentials)


Sign-on Bonus: $1,500


Shift Differentials:

Weekday Nights - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - 7:00 pm - 7:00 am - $3.00 per hour

Weekend Days - Saturday, Sunday - 7:00 am - 7:00 pm - $3.50 per hour

Weekend Nights - Friday, Saturday, Sunday - 7:00 pm - 7:00 am - $5.00 per hour


Provides direct patient care as defined by the resident care plan for all hospital and extended care unit residents at Spanish Peaks Regional Health Center. Participates in admitting and discharging patients. Documents care provided through established electronic health record. Encourages and assists patients/residents to be as independent as possible.

Requirements

Minimum Required Education/Experience: High school diploma required. Certification with accredited training course through the State of Colorado for Certified Nurse Assistant. Previous work experience is preferred. Previous experience with geriatric preferred.


Pre-Employment Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:

Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.

Knowledge of relevant nursing care.

Friendly and professional bedside manner.

Effective oral, written, and reading communication skills.

Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with the public, other agencies, employees and administration.


Note: An acceptable combination of education, training and experience that provides the above knowledge, abilities and skills may be substituted.


Necessary Special Requirements: Must obtain annual flu vaccination and any job-specific immunizations. Required to submit to tuberculosis test/screening.


Licenses or Certificates: Certified Nurse Assistant license is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required (can be obtained onsite).

Unusual Demands: Work is subject to recurring and inflexible deadlines and frequent interruptions.
