Randolph County School System Targeted Assistance Teacher Position SummaryThe Targeted Assistance Teacher provides instructional support to high school students by facilitating a virtual Spanish II course taught by a Georgia-certified teacher. Deliver targeted remedial instruction in Algebra, and teach Middle Grades Computer Science as an elective. This position supports student achievement through intervention, progress monitoring, and collaboration with classroom teachers and academic coaches to ensure students receive individualized academic support while maintaining high expectations for learning.Reports To RCHS/RCMS Principal or DesigneeEmployment Terms190-Day Certified PositionSalary and benefits in accordance with the Randolph County School System Salary ScheduleEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesVirtual Spanish II Course FacilitatorFacilitate the daily implementation of a synchronous and/or asynchronous Spanish II course delivered by a Georgia-certified virtual instructor.Monitor student attendance, participation, and engagement during virtual instruction.Provide classroom supervision and maintain an appropriate learning environment during virtual class sessions.Assist students with technology, assignments, and communication with the virtual instructor.Reinforce instructional concepts without replacing direct instruction provided by the certified Spanish teacher.Coordinate testing, assignments, and course requirements in collaboration with the virtual instructor.Communicate student progress and concerns with parents, counselors, administrators, and the virtual instructor.Algebra InterventionProvide targeted, data-driven remediation to students requiring additional support in Algebra concepts and mathematical reasoning.Utilize diagnostic assessments to identify skill deficits and develop intervention plans.Deliver small-group and individualized instruction aligned with Georgia Mathematics Standards.Monitor student growth using formative assessments and intervention data.Collaborate with mathematics coach to reinforce Tier I instruction and intervention strategies.Maintain documentation of student progress and intervention effectiveness.Middle Grades Computer Science InstructionTeach Middle Grades Computer Science elective courses aligned with Georgia Standards of Excellence.Develop engaging lessons emphasizing computational thinking, digital citizenship, coding, problem-solving, and technology applications.Integrate project-based learning and hands-on technology experiences.Assess student performance using multiple measures and provide timely feedback.Maintain accurate student records, grades, and instructional documentation.Additional ResponsibilitiesParticipate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), faculty meetings, and district professional development.Analyze student achievement data to inform instructional decisions.Maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.Utilize instructional technology effectively to enhance learning.Maintain confidentiality of student records and information.Ensure compliance with district, state, and federal policies and regulations.Perform other duties as assigned by the principal or district administration.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of middle grades instructional practices and intervention strategies.Ability to facilitate virtual learning environments effectively.Strong classroom management skills.Knowledge of Georgia Standards of Excellence.Ability to analyze student achievement data and implement instructional interventions.Effective communication and collaboration skills.Proficiency with educational technology and learning management systems.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or Business closely related field.
