Job description

Il Fornaio Cucina Italiana, with 15 very successful restaurants in Southern CA, Northern CA, and Las Vegas, is hiring an experienced Chef to join our great team.
Strong kitchen and dining room experience with attention to the details of our authentic Italian cuisine, recipes and execution is required.
2 years prior experience as Sous Chef, Kitchen Manager or Supervisor required.
Daily responsibilities include:
* Food preparation and service for all meal periods
* Recipe adherence with special attention to timely preparation and plate presentation
* Training and supervising kitchen staff
* Adhering to food and facility safety requirements including all COVID protocol
* Ensuring that quality and cost standards are consistently obtained
* Completing kitchen administrative and human resource duties
* Inventory, ordering and scheduling with service and cost control measures in place
Sous Chef should have a positive attitude and be able to communicate clearly, professionally, and respectfully. Experience in a full service fine dining upscale restaurant is a plus.
Must have a flexible schedule and able to work varied shifts including weekends.
