Job Summary


Staff SW Test Engineers are responsible for developing, applying, and maintaining quality standards for company products. The role involves creating and executing software test plans, analyzing and writing test standards and procedures, and maintaining documentation of test results. Staff SW Test Engineers analyze test results and recommend corrective actions to ensure product quality and reliability.
All roles require digital fluency, including the ability to work with emerging technologies such as Generative AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) to support everyday work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for test design and delivery of one or more projects, including communicating test design and artifacts to stakeholders.
  • Provide oversight and guidance to team members responsible for testing multiple components.
  • Take ownership of testing responsibilities for one or more components in a project, driving test design and application testability across multiple teams.
  • Independently create multiple test artifacts for projects covering one or more applications, and conduct test plan reviews with stakeholders.
  • Drive troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implementation of preventative measures for operational/application issues.
  • Represent as subject matter expert in responsible areas, recommending changes or areas of focus regarding the product.
  • Provide leadership for selecting appropriate testing techniques to validate non-functional requirements at the application level.
  • Sign off on project-level test coverage and approach, communicate results, status, and progress across multiple efforts.
  • Support creation and expansion of test automation at the project level.
  • Conduct test case/automation reviews across multiple projects, enforcing best practices and standards.
  • Teach others through informal sessions, coach/mentor within the sub-function, and build reusable test assets for broader use.
  • Participate in technology initiatives supporting new or existing capabilities while improving overall quality and efficiency.

This position is a Hybrid role based in our Denver, CO office location. Visarequiresat least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.
  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD.
  • Experience in developing and executing software test plans.
  • Experience in analyzing and writing test standards and procedures.
  • Experience in maintaining documentation of test results.

The estimated salary range for this positionis $114,400.00 to $ 183,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
