Job description

We are seeking an experienced Field Test Engineer IV to support wireless network testing and validation efforts across Wi-Fi, 5G NR, and LTE technologies. This role focuses on hands-on field testing, drive testing, network performance analysis, and RF troubleshooting to improve coverage, latency, throughput, and overall user experience. The ideal candidate has a strong background in wireless technologies, test automation, and network optimization.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Conduct field and drive testing for Wi-Fi, 5G NR, and LTE networks to validate performance and reliability.
  • Design, execute, and maintain test plans and test cases for real-world network validation.
  • Automate testing workflows across iOS and Android devices, including tethered and rooted device configurations.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret drive test data, subscriber experience metrics, and network KPIs.
  • Monitor network performance using internal dashboards and OEM diagnostic tools.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve RF and network performance issues affecting coverage, latency, and throughput.
  • Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions to improve network quality.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and operations teams to resolve network issues.
  • Utilize tools such as Accuver XCAL/XCAP, TEMS, and Meritek for data collection and post-processing.

Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency in automating testing across iOS and Android devices, including rooted and tethered configurations.
  • Familiarity with networking protocols including DNS, DHCP, TCP/UDP, QUIC, QCI, and 5QI.
  • Experience using wireless testing and post-processing tools such as Accuver XCAL/XCAP, TEMS, and Meritek.
  • Strong understanding of network performance metrics, RF analysis, and user experience optimization.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
