Job description

Kratos is seeking a mid to senior level System Test Engineer to join our team and support the testing, troubleshooting, and validation of complex satellite communication and signal monitoring systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, experience with system-level testing, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform system-level testing and validation of electronic, mechanical, and software-integrated products.
  • Develop, execute, and document test plans, procedures, and results.
  • Develop testable requirements based on functional needs from the customer.
  • Devise and create contractor test plans (CTP), test procedures, and test reports.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and diagnose hardware and software issues.
  • Work closely with system engineers and software developers to refine test processes and improve product performance.
  • Utilize test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers.
  • Maintain detailed records of test results and report findings to engineering teams.
  • Assist in assembling and configuring test setups, including hardware and software components.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations.

  • Must be a self-starter and able to work closely in a fast paced, small engineering team which includes software engineers, DSP engineers, hardware engineers, and systems engineers.
  • Top Secret (TS) security clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Bachlors degree in Math, Physics, Engineering, Statistics, Systems Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
  • Requires 5+ years of experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Experience with system testing, debugging, and troubleshooting hardware/software.
  • Experience with Cyber systems and SATCOM technology.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Familiarity with networking concepts and Linux operating systems is a plus.

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Competitive salary based on experience and education
Salary Range: $105,000-$120,000
