We are pleased to announce the immediate need for multiple System Test Engineers (all levels), who will join our Ground Based Radar (GBR) Maintenance and Sustainment Services (GMASS) team in Colorado Springs, CO and become part of our rapidly growing technology company operating in missile defense, cybersecurity, test range modernization, biotechnology, and space control marketspaces. You will be part of a team providing key technical support for Maintenance and Sustainment services (including improvements and modernization) for 6 Ground Based Radars (5 Upgraded Early Warning Radars (UEWR) / 1 Perimeter Acquisition Radar Characterization System (PARCS) and the associated Integration laboratories.

Responsibilities:

You will be working with the GMASS program including systems engineering, software (SW), hardware (HW), cyber, logistics engineering teams to develop and implement approved modernization efforts within specified performance, cost, and schedule objectives to ensure continued operational capability while seamlessly transitioning new technologies into the radars. You will be part of a team known for its excellence in research, design, development, and testing of advanced information processing HW and SW.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing tests to ensure the radar meets quality standards and warfighter expectations. You’ll collaborate with development teams, identify and troubleshoot issues, and contribute to the overall quality assurance process. You will be responsible for creating and maintaining test plans, descriptions, scripts, procedures and reports, as well as analyzing test results, reporting identified defects for laboratories and site test activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement testing activities in laboratories or site locations.
  • Plan and arrange labor, schedules, and equipment needed for test and evaluation.
  • Specify parameters for sample testing and define/develop tests to be performed through the creation of Test Plans, Descriptions, and Procedures.
  • Compile data from tests and analyze results to recommend changes to testing parameters, procedures, and/or processes or verify requirements.
  • Collect. clean, and analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights, supporting data-criven decision-making processes.
  • Create visualizations, dashboards, or reports using tools such as Excel or MATLAB to effectively communicate analytical finding to stakeholders.
  • Develop technical specifications and documentation for test procedures and record results.
  • Ensure testing activities comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new test procedures and/or improve existing procedures.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for testing HW or SW updates.
  • Maintain complete records of testing activities and results through the creation of Test Reports.

Basic Qualifications:

  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Must possess, or can obtain, a Secret security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience participating, preparing, and executing comprehensive subsystem and enterprise-level test plans, descriptions, and procedures.
  • Ability to execute formal tests and prepare test reports for formal government delivery.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a project team environment and simultaneously manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to commute and work daily in offices located in Colorado Springs, Colorado
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Office Suite. Intermediate users demonstrate a strong grasp of core SW features and can confidently navigate more advanced tasks across various Microsoft Office applications. In Excel, apply formulas, build tables, and generate basic pivot tables to analyze and present data. Word skills include executing mail merges, formatting complex tables, and integrating graphics and charts for more polished documents. PowerPoint presentations crafted by intermediate users often feature animations and incorporate tools from other Office programs to enhance engagement. Manage Outlook with proficiency, handling email, calendar appointments, and contact organization independently and effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of full-time professional experience in test engineering or related fields.
  • Experience with system requirement elicitation, definition, and functional allocation to HW and SW segments and components.
  • Proficient in developing technical specifications and analyzing HW configurations and SW solutions to propose new system-level requirements.
  • Experience in performing integration and formal test analysis and document results for selloff of requirements.
  • Experience supporting Test and Evaluation at the system level to include strategic, space, and missile warning missions.
  • Experience with Combatant Command, Service-Level and acquisition directorates.
  • Documenting test requirements and methodologies in a requirements management system.
  • Ability to effectively operate in an environment using Agile SW development and Scrum.
