This role plays a critical part in delivering reliable, scalable, and modern technology solutions that support how the business operates and evolves. The Software Engineer designs, builds, and maintains enterprise-grade applications, APIs, and integrations using .NET, Azure services, and modern engineering patterns. Working closely with cross-functional teams, this role delivers both new capabilities and enhancements to existing systems, ensuring solutions are performant, secure, and aligned to enterprise architecture. With a strong focus on integration, the engineer enables seamless connectivity across CRM, enrollment, billing, and partner systems while supporting automation and orchestration through services such as Azure Functions and Logic Apps.
The role also embraces AI-enabled engineering as a core capability, leveraging AI-assisted tools to improve development velocity, code quality, and operational insights. Through full lifecycle ownership-from design through continuous optimization, the Software Engineer builds resilient, maintainable solutions while reducing operational risk through strong documentation, shared ownership, and proactive incident analysis. This is a versatile engineering role that adapts across platforms, extends capabilities within Dynamics and Power Platform where appropriate, and consistently drives efficiency, scalability, and business confidence.
The ideal candidate will live within driving distance of the Omaha, Nebraska office. This position allows remote flexibility but will have 1 day per week in the office.
What you'll do:
  • Design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade software solutions using .NET, APIs, and modern integration patterns.
  • Develop and support Power Platform and Dynamics extensions where appropriate, including workflows, plugins, and custom components.
  • Design and implement Azure Logic Apps and Azure Functions to support event-driven processing, orchestration, automation, and system integrations.
  • Build and maintain external services and integrations that connect CRM, enrollment, billing, and operational systems.
  • Leverages AI-assisted engineering to accelerate development, improve code quality, and enhance operational efficiency through automated code generation, testing, and incident analysis.
  • Engineer integrations across systems such as billing platforms, broker tools, provider tools, and external partners.
  • Support data movement, orchestration, and transformation across operational workflows.
  • Reduce single-threaded knowledge through documentation, runbooks, and shared ownership.
  • Support high-complexity incidents and root cause analysis across platforms.

  • On-Call Rotation: Approx every 8-12 weeks for a 2-week period.

To be considered for this position you must have:
  • Associate's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field - or equivalent experience
  • 2-4 years of software development experience
  • Experience with Tools/Technologies like Azure, C#/.NET, SQL, and API
  • Experience maintaining and documenting data storage, user interfaces, & backend systems.
  • Serve on successful implementation of projects.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD) and Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Practices including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Experience in creating and maintaining different authorization and authentication processes.
  • Experience with distributed computing and enterprise-wide systems.
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts across varying audiences.

The strongest candidates will also have:
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Experience with JavaScript and Extending Dynamics 365 using Power Platform and Azure services.
  • Desire to think in a creative, lateral way both conceptually and in practical application.

  • Experience applying AI-driven tools to improve development, velocity, quality and maintainability.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
