Job Description

Steel Thread Software, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Software Developer who is looking to join a fast paced start up environment working with both commercial and Government clients. 

Qualifications

Responsibilities:

Responsible for anything and everything associated with the design, installation, testing and maintenance of the software systems.

Participate in the requirements definition process, perform conceptual design, detailed design, code, and unit test of critical software programs of component or subsystem, and lead integration testing of programs of a component or subsystem. 

Generate formal design documentation, Interface Control Documents, and document the interfaces between programs. 

Responsible in supporting the development of Acceptance Test Plan and Procedures documents and the development of customer design review materials.

Contribute cross-functional skills on Agile development teams.


Skills:

Experience with variety of development languages including Java, Javascript, .Net, AngularJS, Protractor, NodeJS, and Jersey.

Hands on database design and maintenance using Mongo, Postgres, MySQL, and other NoSQL DBS.

Familiarity with Build and Deployment Automation tools such as Jenkins, Nexus, Puppet, Ausible, Chef, Maven and Ant.

Strong configuration management background using Subversion and GIT.

Familiarity managing development environment using vmware, OpenStack and other tools.

Proven ability to write and execute unit tests using Junit, Karma, and other tools.



Requirements:

BS or MS in Computer Science or related field.

3+ years of wok experience in a corporate development environment.
