We're innovating in how growth systems shape interactions across the revenue motion, connecting internal teams and customer signals into a tighter, smarter feedback loop. By using AI to learn from outcomes and reduce friction, we experiment where traditional approaches tend to fall short.

The systems this team builds are highly visible across the organization and play a meaningful role in how Verkada grows. Our focus is on creating durable growth platforms and measurement capabilities that enable product, marketing, and revenue teams to deliver timely, relevant, and increasingly personalized experiences at scale. This role will report into our Senior Director of Growth Engineering.

We are committed to a thriving in-office culture. This role requires that you be on-site at our HQ in San Mateo, CA 5 days a week.

What You'll Do

  • Partner closely with engineering, marketing, sales, and revenue teams to design and build AI-powered products and workflows that improve GTM efficiency and effectiveness
  • Own the evolution of our growth platforms, including data pipelines, experimentation frameworks, and products used by teams and customers at Verkada
  • Evaluate and integrate third-party solutions where appropriate, making thoughtful build vs. buy decisions grounded in impact and scalability
  • Act as an engineering architect by defining system design, making key technical decisions, and translating business goals into durable technical roadmaps
  • Stay hands-on through prototyping and targeted development to validate ideas, unblock progress, and maintain a deep understanding of the systems you lead
What You Bring
  • 2+ years of experience managing and developing engineering teams, including hiring, coaching, and performance management
  • 5+ years of experience as a software engineer, with demonstrated strength in designing scalable, reliable systems
  • Experience delivering complex projects in an dynamic environment, balancing speed, quality, and long-term maintainability.
  • Strong cross-functional collaborator who communicates clearly and builds alignment across technical and non-technical partners
  • Curiosity about emerging technologies-especially AI/ML-and how they can be applied to real GTM problems
  • Preferred: experience with Python, SQL, AWS
  • Preferred: Familiarity with DAG-based workflow tools and data warehouses
