We are seeking a strategic, execution-oriented Director of Software Engineering to lead multiple software engineering managers and their associated Agile delivery teams within a large-scale enterprise technology organization. This leader will play a key role in advancing our cloud transformation, modernization, software delivery maturity, and AI-enabled engineering capabilities while building a strong, collaborative engineering culture.
The ideal candidate combines strong organizational leadership with technical credibility and operational discipline. This role requires the ability to lead through transformation, modernize legacy platforms, improve engineering effectiveness, and partner closely with business and technology stakeholders across a highly matrixed environment.
This leader will help shape the next generation of software delivery by leveraging modern cloud-native architectures, platform engineering practices, automation, observability, and responsible adoption of artificial intelligence throughout the software development lifecycle.
This position will be with National Indemnity Company in Omaha, NE with a hybrid 50% in the office work environment. This position is not eligible for employer visa sponsorship.
