EFJohnson Technologies is a subsidiary of JVCKENWOOD Corporation, a leading provider of P25 communications solutions for first responders in public safety and public service, the federal government, and industrial organizations. Our products are marketed under the EFJohnson and KENWOOD brands.


EFJohnson provides wireless communications products and systems for public safety, commercial, and government customers. We design, manufacture, and market conventional and trunked radio systems, land mobile radio repeaters, and mobile and portable radios, including Project 25 digital radio products.

Join a highly successful software development team in Lincoln, Nebraska. We are responsible for application and embedded software development for the EFJohnson radio product line. We are a software engineering team of ~50 members and offer a relaxed work environment where you will be surrounded by amazing talent. We ask that all applicants submit their transcript in the additional documentation section.



Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain embedded software for EFJohnsonโ€™s subscriber and infrastructure product lines. There are both embedded linux and DSP development opportunities.
  • Develop requirements and protocol documents for new and existing products.
  • Provide technical support on subscriber products to solve design and field issues.
  • Identify and correct defects in existing products.



Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s or Masterโ€™s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or Computer Science.


What Weโ€™re Looking For

  • Experience with C/C++ is preferred
  • Embedded software development experience a plus
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and be a team player.
  • Must be a self-starter with excellent problem solving skills.
  • Intermediate level of knowledge of development tools, test equipment, and documentation procedures is desired.

  • Up to 20%
