ABOUT THIS POSITION
We are seeking an experienced and driven Sr. Software Engineer Manager to lead a high-performing team of software engineers and QA professionals. In this role, you will own delivery, quality, and the growth of your team while partnering closely with product and technology leadership to build the award-winning products we offer our clients. Our Engineering Managers are hands-on technical leaders who bring both strategic vision and the willingness to dig into the details alongside their team.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Responsibilities

  • Leads day-to-day delivery and operations for your engineering team, ensuring consistent execution and quality standards

  • Conducts People Operations responsibilities for all assigned team members, including performance reviews, disciplinary action, etc.

  • Plans and manages project timelines, resource allocation, and cross-team dependencies; owns delivery outcomes for all team initiatives

  • Motivates and develops team members through regular feedback, performance reviews, mentoring, and team building activities

  • Coaches engineers on technical and professional growth, providing clear pathways to advance into senior roles

  • Partners with Product Owners and technical stakeholders to define priorities, shape the roadmap, and ensure the team is resourced for current and future business needs

  • Works closely with peer Technology managers and key cross-functional stakeholders to align on priorities and drive cohesive outcomes

  • Collaborates with peer engineering managers to define and uphold quality standards, engineering best practices, and SDLC policies

  • Maintains strong technical depth to effectively guide architectural decisions and engineering trade-offs alongside Lead Engineers

  • Drives continuous improvement of engineering processes and practices within the team and across the broader Technology organization

  • Identifies and curates learning opportunities tailored to each team member's career goals and skill gaps

  • Provides direction and coaching to Lead Engineers, empowering them to mentor junior developers and scale team knowledge

  • Performs other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  • Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of .NET and SQL Server experience

  • 5+ years of experience leading and managing engineering teams and technology projects

  • Experience with unit testing, automated test frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment & welcome change

  • Highly self-motivated

  • Ability to work both in team and solo environments

  • Experience building highly scalable software solutions

  • Subject Matter Expertise in at least one technical track

  • Demonstrated ability to lead, grow, and retain a team of 10+ engineers

  • Able to plan and initiate multi-year programs with cross-functional project teams

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

Preferred Skills:
  • N-Tier and SaaS development experience is preferred

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum or other iterative delivery frameworks

  • Prior experience as a people leader or engineering manager

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

  • Background in healthcare technology, revenue cycle management, or claims processing
