The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a Software Engineer in support of the Data Transport Product Support Sustainment Logistics Maintenance (DSLM) contract, located in Colorado Springs, Colorado. You will perform sustainment and modification software engineering on various mission and non-mission systems in support of the Satellite Control Network (SCN). As part of the DSLM Software Team, you will actively participate in all Agile ceremonies (daily Scrum, Backlogs, and Retrospectives), create software work products and related artifacts to implement the Backlog, assess and analyze deficiencies and tech debt, and engage in continuous software process improvements.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate closely with team members, Product Owners and Scrum Masters to ensure User Story alignment and implementation to customer use cases
  • Analyze (through demonstrations, proof of concept, performance, and end-to-end testing) and effectively coordinate Infrastructure needs driven by developed software to meet customer mission needs
  • Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
  • Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, clean, maintainable and efficient code and unit test
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
  • Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
  • Improve operations by conducting systems analysis, recommending changes in policies and procedures.
  • Develop software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes, and investigating problem areas
  • Support and/or execute site testing at locations across the globe
Qualifications:Required:
  • US Citizen with DoD Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain Secret Security Clearance
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Software development experience/education using Java, C and/or C++, as well as at least one scripting language like Perl, Python, Bash, or TCL
  • Working in Linux/Unix development environment
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
Desired:
  • Experience on DoD programs and interaction with government stakeholders - SCN experience is a plus
  • RBC experience extremely desired
  • Experience using the following COTS tools: GitLab, SharePoint, Fortify, JIRA
  • Writing custom simulations
  • Developing and debugging devices handlers
  • Implementing testing tools and strategies
  • Agile Software Development experience
  • Agile certifications (software development oriented)
