Summary

Invictus is seeking a Software Engineer Level 3 to design, develop, and enhance complex software systems in Annapolis Junction, Maryland, supporting data intensive and mission driven operations within secure environments. This role includes analyzing requirements, developing scalable solutions, integrating systems across architectures, and optimizing performance for large scale applications and datasets. The selected candidate will contribute to algorithm development, system performance, and software quality, while collaborating with system and hardware engineers to meet operational requirements. As a senior level role, this position includes leadership responsibilities such as guiding development efforts, ensuring adherence to engineering standards, and supporting delivery across the software lifecycle.

This is a full time W2 position requiring an active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and enhance software systems based on mission requirements
  • Analyze system requirements and translate them into scalable software solutions
  • Develop and implement algorithms and data processing capabilities
  • Integrate software into existing or new system architectures
  • Debug and resolve software defects and performance issues
  • Develop database queries and data interfaces
  • Support or lead development teams and ensure software quality standards
  • Collaborate with system and hardware engineers to align system performance

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 20 years of software engineering experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in Python
  • At least 5 years of experience in CNO or similar environments
  • Experience with user interface design and usability development
  • Experience developing database interfaces and working with large data repositories
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading software development teams
  • Experience with real time or high performance systems
  • Strong background in algorithm development
