Job Description

As an SDE II-level engineer, you will lead technical delivery for front-end projects within a team, designing and implementing multi-component solutions that are reliable, maintainable, and user-centered. You will own work from implementation through rollout and follow-up, write clean and efficient code, and create clear technical documentation that helps align stakeholders and serves as a lasting reference.

You will be expected to raise the team's engineering bar through strong code reviews, sound technical judgment, and disciplined development practices across quality, performance, accessibility, security, and operational readiness. You should be comfortable working through moderate ambiguity within a product area, partnering cross-functionally to clarify requirements, sequence work, communicate tradeoffs, and deliver reliably. This role aligns to MelodyArc's engineering expectations around secure development and compliance-minded execution, including practices that support frameworks such as SOC 2 Type II.

Basic Qualifications
  • 4+ years of professional experience in front-end software development
  • Proficiency with React JS, Redux, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6), and TypeScript
  • Experience designing and implementing responsive, user-friendly web applications
  • Strong understanding of front-end engineering best practices, including accessibility, performance optimization, and secure development principles
  • Experience owning front-end work end-to-end, including implementation, rollout, and iteration
  • Ability to design front-end solutions across multiple components, APIs, or state boundaries within an existing architecture
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document decisions, communicate status, and surface risks clearly
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience leading technical delivery for projects with milestones, dependencies, and sequencing across stakeholders
  • Experience setting a high bar through code reviews, engineering best practices, and operational discipline
  • Familiarity with component-based architecture, state management, and front-end design patterns
  • Experience partnering with product, design, operations, and back-end engineers to clarify ambiguity and deliver end-to-end solutions
  • Experience improving front-end reliability through observability, monitoring, debugging, and production readiness practices
  • Familiarity with secure development patterns such as access controls, auditability, and secrets handling in support of compliance requirements
  • Knowledge of customer service operations and/or customer support solutions is a plus

Equal Opportunity

MelodyArc is an equal opportunity employer. We consider all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, protected veteran status, genetic information, or any other status protected by law. If you need a reasonable accommodation during the application or interview process, let your recruiter know and we'll work with you.

Compensation & Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $150,000-$200,000. This is a good-faith estimate of what we expect to pay on hire; where an offer lands depends on experience, skills, and work location. As an early-stage company, total compensation also includes equity. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) with company match, flexible paid time off, and paid parental leave.
