Location: LifeSmiles & Sagamore Meadows Family Dental - West Lafayette, IN

Job Type: Part-time

Your Work Schedule

Monday: 7:45am-4:30pm

Tuesday: 7:45am-4:30pm

Thursday: 7:45am-4:30pm

Your Role as an EFDAAs an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant, you'll play a critical role in delivering best-in-class care. You'll work closely with doctors to provide clinical support, educate patients, and perform expanded duties that elevate the patient experience-all while maintaining compliance with state regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide chairside support for doctors, including charting, placing fillings, setting up and cleaning operatories, and patient education.
  • Perform expanded functions such as placing amalgam or composite fillings, adapting temporary crowns, removing sutures, and applying topical fluoride (state-permitted procedures only).
  • Maintain accurate patient health history and treatment plan documentation in dental software.
  • Assist in clinical procedures, ensuring a seamless and efficient patient care process.
  • Stay up-to-date on state regulations and compliance to deliver safe and effective care.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Certification: EFDA certification or on-the-job training as required by state regulations.
  • Experience: 1-5 years preferred; new graduates will be considered.
  • Licensure: Radiography licensure meeting state requirements.
  • Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite, dental charting software, and digital x-rays, with the ability to learn new systems as needed.
  • CPR Certification: Required for this role.
