Position Description & Qualifications If you like high profile and challenging work supporting the readiness of America's Special Operations Forces, Serco has a great opportunity for you! This Acquisition Subject Matter Expert (SME) will be working with the U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM) supporting the Program Manager for Remote Capabilies responsible for supporting SOCOM Medium Tactical Unmanned Aerial Systems (MTUAS). Bring your experience and collaborative skills to make an impact toward improving our military defense planning and combat readiness. Serco supports SOCOM as a sub-contractor on Special Operations Forces (SOF) Enterprise Professional Services contract. Our team conducts analysis and provides lifecycle support for the MTUAS Program. You will be part of a Team that works closely with our customer to ensure that our Special Forces are resourced to provide the required level of readiness. This position is contingent upon the availability to maintain/transfer a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility. In this role, you will: * Evaluate and aggregate acquisition program data for completeness, conformance, and correctness and facilitate the adjudication of comments and remarks through staff and stakeholders. * Provide decision support for acquisition and fielding decisions with an appreciation for audit readiness, safety, suitability, supportability, and effectiveness determinations. * Serve as the primary interface and point of contacct with Government program authorities and representatives on technical and program/project issues, and informing Serco teammate of tasks required.
* Brief senior leadership, or a regular basis, on program status and milestones.
* Perform warfighting assessments and effectiveness analysis; advanced concept development and design; analytic support for the pre-acquisitionand sustainment of systems acquisitionprocess or for operational analysis. To be successful in this role, you have: * An active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibilty. * An Associate's degree and 2 years of professional experience in Defense acquisition, with 1 of those years of which must be recent and relevant to DOD acquisition management within SOCOM programs. * OR a High School Diploma and 4 years of professional experience in Defense acquisition, with 3 of those years of which must be recent and relevant to DOD acquisition management within SOCOM programs. * The ability to travel up to 10%. Additional desired experience and skills: * Experience in initiating and maintaining technical direction within broad program objectives directly related to SOCOM missions and aviation systems. * Knowledge of acquisition policies and procedures. * Knowledge of and experience with the requirements of the DOD 5000 series. * Experience evaluating and aggregating acquisition program data for completeness, conformance, and correctness and ability to facilitate the adjudication of comments and remarks through staff and stakeholders. * Experience with Special Operations peculiar acquisition life cycle planning and policies.
