Position Summary: The Facility Security Officer (FSO) provides security coordination, administrative oversight, and operational security support for operations at Stennis Space Center. This position serves as the primary security point of contact and is responsible for coordinating security-related activities in support of personnel, facilities, visitors, equipment, and operational requirements. The FSO works closely with Stennis Space Center security offices, the SOCOM Security Office, and the Special Boat Team 22 Special Security Representative to ensure compliance with applicable federal, Department of Defense (DoD), NASA, SOCOM, installation, and contractual security requirements. All security activities are performed under Government direction and remain subject to Government approval. POSITION REQUIREMENTS AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Security Coordination & Compliance
Serve as the primary security liaison between Liberty Alliance, Stennis Space Center security offices, SOCOM Security Office, and other designated Government security representatives. Coordinate and support compliance with applicable federal, DoD, NASA, SOCOM, installation, and contractual security requirements. Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of security procedures, protocols, and documentation. Support preparation for audits, inspections, assessments, and program reviews. Maintain awareness of changing security requirements and communicate updates to leadership and personnel as required. Personnel Security Support Process and coordinate facility and base access requests for employees, contractors, visitors, and Government personnel. Maintain and update access rosters, visitor logs, and credentialing documentation. Assist with personnel security records management, reporting requirements, and security-related administrative actions. Coordinate required security briefings, indoctrinations, debriefings, and recurring security training. Support Operational Security (OPSEC) awareness initiatives and related reporting requirements. Physical Security & Facility Support Coordinate facility access procedures, visitor control, and key control processes. Assist with safeguarding sensitive equipment, materials, and Government property. Support physical security planning for events, exercises, demonstrations, and operational activities. Assist in reporting and documenting security incidents, suspicious activities, and procedural violations. Coordinate with Government representatives regarding facility security concerns, corrective actions, and operational requirements.
Administrative & Reporting Functions Maintain security files, records, databases, and tracking systems in accordance with applicable regulations and company policies. Prepare reports, correspondence, and documentation related to personnel security, facility access, incidents, and compliance activities. Support internal management and Government reporting requirements related to security operations. Ensure proper handling and protection of sensitive or controlled information. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: U.S. Citizenship Required
Active Top Secret (TS) Clearance (SCI eligibility preferred)
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in facility security, personnel security, military security operations, or related security administration roles. Experience supporting DoD, federal, or government-contractor security programs preferred. Working knowledge of federal security requirements, physical security procedures, and access control processes. Ability to maintain accurate records and manage multiple security-related administrative tasks simultaneously. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and standard administrative systems. Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with Government and contractor personnel. Up to 30% of travel is expected for this role, including overnight and out-of-state as required to support operations, customer engagements, or company initiatives.
