Overview:
Planned Systems International (PSI) is an Enterprise IT services company who focuses on designing, building, securing, and operating cutting-edge software solutions that drive mission success and operational excellence for Federal Government organizations. We are currently seeking an IT Hardware Technician will be part of a dynamic team that provides IT repair, maintenance, operations, logistics, and engineering services to help ensure secure, reliable, and uninterrupted availability of Endpoint IT Systems. Essential Functions and Job Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and resolve common hardware and network issues including video cards, desktop/laptop issues, cabling and physical layer networking issues, and printer troubleshooting and/or maintenance.
- Diagnose and resolve problems with desktop systems, printers, digital senders, mobile devices and other standard office equipment.
- Complete basic hardware work as directed, such as cable management, desktop PC installation, monitors, KVM’s, and laptop imaging and issuance.
- Provide input and update to standard operating procedures.
- Conduct validation of ticket information to ensure completeness and accuracy and escalate issues via ticketing system and requests for assistance as needed.
- Participate in/lead special projects and day‐to‐day operations.
- Consistently remain customer focused and provide a high level of customer service.
- Interact daily with supervisor, peers, and customers and provide polite and friendly customer service.
- Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. Minimum Requirements:
- Active T3 investigation, with the ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances as required for access to classified information.
- DoD 8140 IAT Level II certification (e.g. CompTIA Security+ CE). Desired Qualifications:
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience Physical Demands:
- Walking to multiple offices at the customer site to survey and deliver replacement hardware (desktops and laptops).
