About the role:
The Senior Social Media Associate is a creative thinker who will help develop, coordinate, and execute content creation and strategies for the Indivisible Project with a focus on social media. This person would own our day-to-day content production on all social media platforms (including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Bluesky, Threads, Substack, and Mastodon) and social engagement (replies, reshares, etc).
We are hiring for this position immediately. This position reports to the Associate Social Media Director and is full-time, with an annual salary of $83,900 and a generous benefits package.

What you'll do:
Content Development and Execution (60%)
  • Work with Social Media Manager to develop and implement the social media strategy for Indivisible Project campaigns to create and produce powerful social media content;
  • Develop daily content that uplifts our issue advocacy and political partnerships;
  • Create and oversee weekly scheduling of base layer social media content;
  • Monitor social media activity of Indivisible groups to amplify actions and local successes;
  • Monitor news and uplift relevant clips from television and online outlets;
  • Assist with production of video content as needed;
  • Support the production of social content for organizational leadership accounts;
  • Manage the organization's YouTube account
Cross-Team Coordination and Support (20%)
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to share our resources in compelling and creative ways;
  • Assist as needed with digital, writing, research, and organizational projects on discrete issue-related and electoral campaigns;
  • Work with other departments to develop memos on priority content areas that can be turned into social content
Reporting and Analysis (20%)
  • Work with social media manager to develop impact reports and weekly social reports;
  • Focus on managing our online community with the goal of engaging with the majority of relevant messages received;
  • Monitor and track online activity across the Indivisible network

Qualifications:
  • Three to four years of social media experience in a professional or volunteer capacity for a political campaign or non-profit;
  • Committed to building a more equitable organization and progressive movement;
  • Competency in social media scheduling and analytics platforms;
  • Experience crafting social media content in a professional or official volunteer capacity for a group or organization;
  • Excellent communication skills;
  • Demonstrated ability to excel in a fast-paced, campaign-like environment;
  • Motivation and willingness to learn;
  • Alignment on the core values and strategy of the Indivisible Project.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with video production and editing (including on-camera work);
  • Experience with graphic design;
  • Proficiency with Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides;
  • Spanish language skills are a plus
