Job description

Business Systems Analyst (Smartsheet) -

Location: Sunnyvale, CA or Atlanta, GA---Hybrid work---3 DAYS/ WEEK

Rate cap : $72/hr. on w2

JD:

As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for providing best practice advisory services to functional and technical streams throughout the solution implementation and ongoing sustainment. This role will build and drive high-performing relationships with customers and other stakeholders within team to ensure high quality delivery of all aspects of solution development.

  • In an operational setting, you will be an integral part of the team responsible for:
  • Solution design and review of all business process and system level changes as part of continual service improvement.
  • Facilitate meetings with process owners and other stakeholders to gather business requirements
  • Develop supporting materials to facilitate requirement building such as sample dashboards, and user journey maps
  • Translate business requirements into user stories for the development team
  • Work with the development team to continuously refine the documented requirements
  • Develop procedures, manuals, and other documentation for the systems developed based on the requirements gathered
  • Work with onsite and offshore developers to provide insight on business requirements and functional design

In addition to the solution design and implementation responsibilities, the Business Analyst will play a crucial role in production support, ensuring the smooth operation of implemented solutions. The candidate will manage ITSM tickets, providing timely resolution to issues and maintaining system stability. This includes:

  • Monitoring system performance and addressing any operational issues promptly.
  • Managing and prioritizing ITSM tickets, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders regarding ticket status and resolution timelines.
  • Collaborating with IT teams to identify root causes of recurring issues and implementing preventive measures.
  • Offering proactive support by identifying potential system improvements and efficiencies.
  • Providing training and support to end-users, ensuring they can effectively utilize the Smartsheet application for their business needs.

General Qualifications

  • 4+ years of relevant experience as Business Analyst
  • Ability to think critically about solutions to remove Sand in the Gears
  • Proficient in use of formulas and functions in excel, Smartsheet
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to help end users from cross functional teams to efficiently use the Smartsheet Application for their business needs
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (Lucid Chart, MS PowerPoint)
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment

Technical | Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience building solutions using Premium Apps (Data Shuttle, Dynamic View, DataMesh, Pivot, Calendar, WorkApps)
  • Experience building solutions with Advanced Capabilities including Sheet Automations, Cross- sheet references/cell linking, DataTable, Document Builder, Workload Tracking, etc.
  • Technical understanding of Control Center solutions; Experience building blueprints for multi- tier program configurations

Technical | Nice-to-have:

  • Smartsheet Certifications: Core Product, Project Management, System Administrator, Control Center Lead, Control Center Blueprint Builder
  • Experience building workflows using Smartsheet Connectors: Salesforce, Jira
  • Experience building solutions with Smartsheet API (Bridge workflows a plus)
