CPH is seeking a talented entry-level to join our dynamic and highly collaborative land development team as a Project Engineer!
Hiring Bonus of up to $10,000 for selected candidate!
The Project Engineer I supports project management activities by providing technical and administrative support throughout the project’s lifecycle. This role involves assisting with project planning, design, and execution while gaining hand on experience in best engineering practices and project management. The Project Engineer I is knowledgeable in engineering principles, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a team environment. 

Duties Include:
  • Assist in the development of projects plans, including the scope of work, timeframe, and budget. 
  • Prepare and maintain documentation, including reports, drawings, and specifications.
  • Assist in the design and development of engineering solutions, including drafting, and drawings. 
  • Conducts inspections and quality control to maintain high standards.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support project design and development.
  • Ensure the design and engineering work complies with industry standards and regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation and evaluation of proposals. 
  • Ensure the projects comply with engineering standards, regulations, and quality requirements. 
  • Prepare and/or present progress reports, including updates on project status. 
  • Stay up to date with engineering technology and industry standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Requirements:
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook and familiarity with Deltek Vision and Smartsheet or similar software’s platforms.
  • AutoCAD experience is a plus.
  • Ability to exercise critical thinking and good independent judgement. 
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and work on multiple projects while adhering to project schedules and budgets.
  • Flexibility in work schedule to accommodate project deadlines.
  • Detail oriented, quality conscious, reliable and self-motivated.
Education and Experience: 
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field
  • 0-2 years of experience in a similar role or relevant internship experience. 
  • EI/EIT Certification or commitment to obtain within 1 year of hire. 
  • Basic knowledge of engineering principles, project management, and industry standards.
